AUTOart 1/18 TOYOTA GT-ONE TS020 #29 Toy Mini Car Action Figure Good Condition Description About This Items AUTOart 1/18 TOYOTA GT-ONE TS020 LEMANS 1998 #29 TOYOTA GT-ONE TS020 is a prototype racing car developed by Toyota in 1998 to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours. The development team was TTE (Toyota Team Europe), who drew on their experience from the Group C era to create a design that focused on aerodynamic performance and weight reduction. The TS020 is equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 600 horsepower. Three cars participated in the 1998 Le Mans, of which car #29 was driven by Satoru Nakajima, Allan McNish, and Toru Ukawa. Although the TS020 showed speed in qualifying, it suffered from transmission problems and crashes in the actual race, and was unable to achieve a top finish. The following year, in 1999, an improved GT-ONE entered the race, and although it put up a good fight, it ended up finishing in second place overall. As a result, the GT-ONE was unable to achieve Toyota's first victory at Le Mans, and Toyota was forced to temporarily withdraw from the race. However, the GT-ONE continues to be passed down as a symbol of Toyota's challenges and technological capabilities.
